It is funny how the family outings you remember are the ones that go awry. We decided to get out of the city and enjoy a picnic and a hike at Kettle Morraine Park. We found a trail head that was virtually unoccupied. We enjoyed our sandwiches and Cheetos while we watched the sky, hoping it would not rain on us. Once finished we decided to take a 1.5 mile walk. We put Charlotte in her Baby Bundler, grabbed the water bottle and headed down the trail. We had not been walking for long when we noticed the heavy mosquito population! Jason and I consulted that we should continue on, surely the path would get sunny and there would be no mosquitoes. So we encouraged the kids to run to avoid being carried off. Well we ran the 1.5 miles as Jason and I tried to keep thinking positive that just around the corner it will get better. The kids cried and whined, but they jogged the whole way and we made it out with minimal damage. (Charlotte had none).

The Easy to Clean Highchair
Yeah!! The new high chair finally arrived. For Jayce and Grahm I used a PegPerego Prima Pappa chair that we bought out of the classifieds (in Sun Valley from John Unser-race car driver). I wanted to love this fancy chair that we got a great deal on, but I had to make a new cover for it. The cover I made was denim, the bad thing was all the puffs and noodles and food would get smooshed into it and then I would have to wash it or it looked gross. Also there were grooves and nooks and crannies for food everywhere. Well needless to say, I begged for a new high chair that would be easy to clean and I found it. It is a Boon high chair with no nooks and crannies and Charlotte looks happy to have a chair. I am grateful that Jason was so sweet and understanding. Its funny how little things can make your day.

Kindergarten Field Day
The school year is over! Jayce really enjoyed Kindergarten and made lots of new friends. I was lucky enough to get to go to Field Day and watch Jayce with his teacher and friends. You feel so blessed when you get to watch your son healthy and happy playing. I am so proud of you, Jayce.
Grahm, Charlotte and I hung out and watched all the fun, occasionally Grahm would get to play too. Grahm learned something new. Step 1 - Pick Dandelion.Step2-Apply to face (He actually fell or lay down to get his yellow blush!!)!
The First Tooth!
The First Tooth!! WOW!! He really wanted his tooth out, it was not quite ready. He had Jason really work on it. Jason even used tweezers to help get a better grip (I think mostly twisting-yikes!). Jayce would get teary, then he would take a break and get hugs from me, then he would go back for more. He finally had enough of Dad and had me pull it out.

Devils Lake
We spent a leisure day at Devils Lake with friends (The Godfreys). It was nice to get out of the city and enjoy the beauty that God has given us. We ate and went on a short hike. It was a little chilly, but the boys still dipped their feet. They got to run around and get dirty, just what little boys should do!

Charlottes First Cereal!!
Tonight Charlotte enjoyed her first bites of Rice cereal. Here are a few pictures. She had a little bit of a hard time figuring out how to get the cereal to the back of her throat, that little tongue kept pushing it out. I just love being around as they experience new things and seeing how each little personality reacts differently.

Welcome to the New Blog
Welcome to the new blog. I hope to be better at blogging, I think I will since I have a new Purpose.
I have a theory about life (one of many). I think that we all are teetering on the top of a mountain, where we work to keep everything balanced and in place. This applies specifically to our attitude, once negative thoughts about anything in our lives enters our thoughts we start to teeter downhill. If we continue with negative thoughts we will find our selves sliding down the mountain.
In our marriages this can lead to divorce (of course there are other reasons that can not be fixed with an attitude change).
With our children it can lead to a yelling house instead of a singing house [There is a story I read once about a child that always wanted to be at his friends house. His mother could not figure out why, the home was not as clean as hers or as nice. He told here it was a singing house which of course only puzzled her more. One day when she was picking him up she heard the mother singing (not very well) and she realized that everyone was happy and singing at this house.]
This blog is dedicated to my husband and my children as a place that I can come to let the joys and wonder of marriage and motherhood be reinforced to keep me balanced at the top of my mountain.
My blog is title Micah C Micah Do, because that is how my life works. I "see" things and then I do them. I will blog about people, things, and ideas that inspire me as a wife, mother, and woman. I hope all who read enjoy. You can still view my old blog jasongearyfamily
