I found this really cute pattern from the 1940's, so I decided to make Charlotte a coat. It turned out really cute. She always gets lots of attention when she has it on. One friend said it reminded her of something the Von Trapp family would have worn. It had a really cute pattern for pants, but that didn't happen. Her hat is from pdxbeanie on etsy - so cute. I added the flower myself to make sure it matched her coat.

Why did I do it?
Sometimes you do things and then wonder why. Well today Jayce made me wonder why. My Mom had several funny little songs she would sing every once in awhile and she taught them to us. I have been singing Mairzy Doats for some time now and they simply request that I sing it to them. I then sang the other two songs yesterday (they are much shorter) and Jayce keeps on singing them and singing them and singing them. I don't thing Jingle Bells Batman Smells even got this much attention.
Oh - you want to know the songs that are driving me crazy?
Yaa-ta-hoe! Salmonella! Come to teach your stomach a lesson!
And
Comet! Makes your mouth turn green! Comet! Tastes like Listerine! So lets drink Comet and vomit today!
Good ones, huh?

A Butcher, A Baker, A Candlestick Maker and A Cobbler!!
I know I am crazy for making shoes for Charlotte, but I could not find any plain boots that were cute enough for her. It is terrible how many ugly pairs of shoes they make for babies. Anyway, they are not perfect - but she likes them!! I hope that the next time I need shoes for her that someone decides to make a pair I want to buy. PS -It was kind of fun to make them, plus all the ooh's and aah's!!
