Nesting

I have finally been able to get started painting my house.  I have been patiently waiting for the paint machine on base to get fixed.  Paint out in town runs about $60/gallon.  We decided that was some expensive decorating and that I would have to wait.  Well, I finally was able to pick  up a few gallons and start.

I had decided that this house was going to be different colors than our Milwaukee house.  I was getting tired of them after 5 years, some I still love and would do again in a heart beat - but others...

I decided to use sea glass as my inspiration colors - so we visited the beach and collected as many different colors as we could. I narrowed it down to my favorites and then found paint colors that matched.

After getting them home, I am worried that they are all basically the same color.

I started painting the living room and I am freaking out...  I am debating stopping now or finishing.   It looks so yucky and grey!

BIG FAT Just Kidding!!

As I said in my previous post - that we had an offer, but there was still tons of steps before we could relax and consider our home sold.

Well.... We hit our first obstacle and it turned out to be our last.  They decided that a super cool historical home (turning 97 this year) was not for them.

Darn it!!  But that does mean we will be sticking around here for longer than we were thinking!

Another Week has Flown

Whew!! It has been another week. Times seems to be flying by too quickly these days. I have had a wonderful week.
Charlotte has not been feeling well and has forced us to slow down. I have spent the majority of my days snuggled on the couch. We have played "this little piggie..." sang lots of songs and just say quietly. Grahm would charge us occasionally and bounce us on the couch and snuggle and hold on too. It was wonderful. There were days that I would not have my makeup on until nap time. Breakfast dishes would usually have to wait until lunch time. But, I did my best to love it.

This is what else we have been dealing with this week.

We had noticed some (uhm) feces in the attic and I thought mouse. Until early this week when suddenly we had lots more and the Internet lead us to this conclusion - BAT. Since we have cleaned up any traces of bat, we have not had anymore. We are hoping an owl took care of it. However, every day armed with a flashlight I head up the attic stairs and inspect the rafters for any unwanted tenants. [Fun for Me!]
