What you missed - Part Ni (2 in Japanese)

1.  Tennyson can get in the tub all by herself.  Meaning I was ironing Charlotte's skirt and Charlotte was taking a bath.  Charlotte managed to keep her head up after the initial dunk.  She is scary.
2.  Tennyson likes to play in toilet water.  I survived 2 boys who never put me through as much.  She is so busy.
3.  We love football. We HATE football. We love football.
4.  It now takes over an hour to walk home from school.  Jayce has a friend.  That leaves no time for homework before practices and dinner.  They are threatened with their lives if it continues.  The first time I started to get really nervous.
5.  Hand, Foot, and Mouth.  That is why Tennyson was sick.  If the other kids hadn't contracted it, I would never have known.  She had only 1 blister on her foot that I could see and the ones in her mouth were not too bad or she would have cried more about eating.  The other 2 (Charlotte and Grahm) only had a handful of blisters on their hands and feet and some in their mouths.  Charlotte had at least 1 on the inside of each eyelid - weird.  Grahm's tonsils were scary huge.
6.  Ice Cream every night before bed, they are all so hungry when we get home at about 8pm.  They have to eat dinner about 4:30pm.
7.  Charlotte and I ate at BK on day for lunch, but I have managed to cook something for dinner every night.
8.  Tennyson eats mostly our food now, she doesn't want baby food.

Taught Line Hitch

This post is for my Dad.  1.  So you can say ooh- My daughter can tie some mean knots.  2.  So you can check before the storm hits and tell me if I need to do something different.

The rope is continuous with a taught line hitch in both ends.

The storm coming is only a Tropical Storm and not a Typhoon (well for the moment).  I forgot to wear gloves and my sissy hands are complaining.  I have 4 blisters on my right hand and missing some skin on the left.  But I did it all by myself.  Well - Charlotte helped feed the rope around for me and Tennyson crawled around the web.

What my Dad said!!

None of my crew can tie knots that well!  Nice Job!
  Love you,

  Dad

Visualizing Time

Charlotte asks every day how much longer until Daddy comes home.  So instead of daily trying to put it in terms she can understand we made a chain to help us count down.  She had fun helping on this project, I guess I need to let her help more often.  Now she doesn't have to ask how long until he is home - just when can we cut off one of the links.  It was a trade.  It definitely brightens up the room.  The boys were a little surprised at how long the chain is, I guess for them visualization was not so great.

*****Please tell me when you see a bad spelling or grammatical error, how embarrassing.******

Some of What You Missed

Since Jason is gone for a little while (very short compared to most - lucky us).  I thought I should write down some of what he is missing so we don't forget to share.  This also explains my less than stellar posting.  Hopefully we will get into a groove soon.

1.  The Bouncy Palooza guy now has authority at the cross walk - orange vest, sign and notebook.  Watch out, this time he might really call the police if you make him think you aren't minding him.
2.  The front door knob fell off and I fixed it.  Only after a near ruin.  It looked like it just popped off, so I was going to line up all the stuff and snap it back on.  Didn't work - I even got out the hammer - and before I really let it have it I noticed the threads.  Lucky you.
3.  Picked up Jayce's football gear.  Sink or swim for this momma.  It was in a warehouse - almost the entire league showed up.  It was hot and crowded.  It is going to be a fun season.  Everyone wanted to know why Grahm was not playing.  Jayce is still not a fan of locker room situations - he finally tried on the game pants- but was slow.  When we came out it was raining and we didn't care we were so hot.  Fed the kids BK (hopefully the only time while you are gone).  This is going to be fun.
4.  We had the best Yakisoba at a friends.  Wow!  and veggie tempura.  This little green pumpkin and sweet potato were so yummy.  The boys tried to use good manners - but shrimp was involved.  We went for a walk and had to head back early for Charlotte to use the restroom.  She almost made it, instead we had to mop their floor!  Think they will have us back?
5.  Jayce is a pre-teen.  9 going on 18.
6.  I burnt my arm on the heating element in the oven.  Kind of browned the skin weird.  Didn't hurt at all.  The next morning since I didn't feel it toweled it off and broke the blister, the skin was white underneath.  Still no pain - is that bad?  I am grateful.
7.  Tennyson now shakes what her Momma gave her.  So funny.
8.  She tried to walk to me today.
9.  I jumped in and we picked the berries that we think are mulberries and made a pie (the burnt arm).  It was yummy and we are all still alive.
10.  Hopefully unrelated, Grahm has a sever abdominal ache tonight.
11.  Tennyson is sick (second time in her life).  103.1
12. Lyndz saved us.  I went to back to school night and she took the other three to football practice.
13.  I actually kind of like the teachers.  A little more communication goes along way.  We will still watch and hope the boys start to flourish.
14.  Drew is on Grahm's soccer team.  Charlotte is in heaven, she missed Eva.

Miss you tons.

A Rite of Passage

Grahm is now a bike rider.  All he wants to do is ride his bike.  He is hoping I will let him ride to school this year.  I think the style of bike he has made it a little tricky to get his balance figured out.  I just really liked the bike.  I guess next time we should have someone who can ride try it out first.
